A short history of our family business, now in its 3rd generation
1959
On 23 January, Max Bernhard Schachmann founded today’s Warmpresswerk Max B. Schachmann GmbH in Plettenberg. After the first forging press went into operation, the company began producing radiator bolts. Due to a severe shortage of space, the relocation to Niederstadtfeld in the Eifel region began in November that same year.
1960
The company expanded shortly after its relocation. In addition, the production of forged products for the automobile industry and general machine construction began.
1967
The present owner and managing director, Hans-Joachim Willke, joined the company.
1972
Hans-Joachim Willke took over management of Warmpresswerk Max B. Schachmann GmbH.
2001
Hans-Werner Hommelsen was named the second Managing Director.
2015
After 14 successful years as Managing Director, Mr Hommelsen retired. Carolin Walz and Markus Willke became the new Managing Director.
2017
Mr. Hans-Dieter Meeth joins the company as managing director
2019
